My name
is Maja
Jauhiainen
and live
in
Norrköping,
Sweden.
I
usually
say that
we live
in
heaven
cause we
live on
the top
floor in
a seven
level
building
(7th
heaven).
I breed
Norwegian
Forest
Cats
since
2001.
I bought
my first
Norwegian
in 1998
from
S*Fyrhligan’s
in
Linköping
(a
Swedish
breeder).
My plan
wast to
get only
one cat
for
company.
But when
I
arrived
there I
saw two
beautiful
sisters
and I
couldn't
resist.
So I
bought
both.
About
two
years
later we
started
participating
in
shows.
We are a
SVERAK/
FIFe
registered
cattery
(since
2001) in
Sweden,
breeding
Norwegian
Forest
cats. We
are also
members
of the
cat
clubs
ÖSTKATTEN
and
Skogkattslingan
We don't
breed
more
litters
than
2-3/year
cause we
want to
spend as
much
time
with
each
litter
as
possible.
The most
important
characteristic
for us
is that
the cats
have a
good
temperament
and is
comfortable
at home.
After
all.
This is
where it
is gonna
spend
most of
it's
life
even if
it is a
show
cat.
This
doesn't
mean
that we
breed
cat that
aren't
good
enough
for
shows.
On the
contrary,
the goal
of
breeding
must
that the
offspring
should
equally
good or
better
then the
it's
parents.
I much
enjoy
visiting
cat
shows
cause
you meet
so many
interesting
and nice
breeders
and
exhibitors.
It's
also
interesting
to see
other
breeders
cats and
listen
to the
judges
comments
about
them.
It's a
great
way to
learn
more
about
Norwegian
forest
cat and
other
breeds.
On every
cat show
you
learn
something
new! |
